Katrina Kaif wrapped up the shoot of her Agneepath item song Chikni Chameli… on Wednesday, after working on it for 10 days at Film City in Goregaon. News of the actor starring in the song surfaced a few weeks ago. Even though the track is yet to be released, the producers hope it will create the buzz that songs like Munni Badnaam Hui…, Sheila ki Jawani… and Chammak Challo… did in the past.

“I hope and pray it becomes bigger than any of the previous item songs. As actors, we love doing better than what’s been done in the past. I don’t think there’s anything wrong in expecting that,” says Katrina, who managed to make some time for the remake of the 1990-hit featuring Amitabh Bachchan, from the on-going Ek Tha Tiger schedule in Delhi. Shah Rukh-Priyanka to host Zee Cine Awards

Their much-anticipated sequel, Don 2, hits theatres on December 23. And almost a month later, on January 21, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra will co-host the Zee Cine Awards 2012 at The Venetian in Macau. It is the first time that both actors will be hosting a gala together. Shah Rukh has only partnered with Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor before this.

Earlier, buzz was that Saif and his actor-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor may host the event. Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma, too were apparently being considered. But Mohan Gopinath, business head, Zee Cinema, confirms that it’s going to be the Don and his jungli billi (wild cat): “Zee Cine Awards has come up with many firsts. Priyanka Chopra will make her debut on TVas the host of Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi and says she will be more than up to cracking what’s seen to be a male domain.

“Just because I’m a girl it shouldn’t be presumed that I can’t enter the boys’ territory. I’d do the stunts better than the boys,” Priyanka said.

The special edition of the show will feature Indian as well as international cricketers competing with each other to vie for the Fear Factor – Khaton Ka Khiladi title for 2010.

“And cricketers are people I’m very cool with. Not that I know the cricket world that well. It will be great getting to know them,” said the actress who has her own stunts planned for the show.

“All I can tell you is that the stunts this year are going to be bigger and scarier than they were on the show last year. Now we’ve male contestants instead of female and I’ve to match up to them,” she said. Read more…

Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra kicked off the “Save Girl Child’ campaign in New Delhi.

Chopra, who received the National Award for her role in the movie ‘Fashion’ on Friday, appeared very enthusiastic over the initiative of ‘The Sun Foundation’.

“”The campaign which is kick-started by ‘The Sun Foundation’ is very important in today’s scenario. We are aware but the conditioning, which we had till now, teaches us that the girls are not very important and the male child is always wanted,” said Priyanka Chopra.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is all set to debut on the small screen by replacing action star Akshay Kapoor to host this year’s Special IPL Edition of Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi.

The Special IPL Edition of Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi, will have 13 Indian and International cricketers competing with each other to win the show, TV channel Colors announced today.

“It feels fantastic to be associated with one of the biggest shows on Indian television today and it fits perfectly with my personality. I have been a huge fan of FF-KKK and thoroughly enjoy watching it,” said Priyanka Chopra, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay in Andaaz.
