No movies till IPL ends: Preity

The pretty Preity Zinta is back in India after a short management course in the US and all that she has on her mind now is the Indian Premier League. The actress, who owns Kings XI Punjab team, has made it a point to devote all her efforts and energies to the game.

On her social networking account Preity recently posted, “I can only start filming any film post the IPL. For now, its cricket all the way. Folks keep the faith and wait for me on the silver screen.”

Preity also revealed that she was offered a movie but had to let it go, “Liked one script very much but dates were clashing with IPL so decided to opt out. Someone else is doing it now,” she tweeted.

Preity has been lying low since sometime now with no substantial roles in hand. Her guest appearance in the song ‘Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte’ from ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ went unnoticed while her cameo in ‘Main Aur Mrs. Khanna’ was absolutely non-‘Happening’. But the Zinta girl is in no mood to disappoint her fans. She assures, “This is my personal promise… I will be back in movies with a bang! Vivacious Preity Zinta is on a roll these days and is busy multi tasking. The pretty lady has turned into a superwoman as she finished off with the IPL meetings, zapped through the auctions and ran into an oily commercial shoot!;

Well the news is, very recently, Preity shot a commercial for Emami brand where she stars along with none other than cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. And with the looks of the shoot it seems like M S Dhoni and Preity have donned superman-like robes for the commercial they have shot.

Commenting on her shoot with Dhoni, Preity put up a message on a social networking site which reads, “We are shooting a commercial for Emami. Healthy and tasty cooking oil”. The sprightly beauty had a gala time shooting with the cricket star as she adds, “Shooting a real fun commercial I must confess.” Read more…

Preity Zinta quits Bollywood for Harvard

Preity Zinta seems to have had enough of the song and dance! The actress-turned-entrepreneur and co-owner of the Kings XI Punjab IPL team, is now heading to Harvard Business School to polish trade skills and enhance her management aptitude.

Preity (34) has reportedly been spending considerable time with her brother’s family in the United States, following her recent split with beau and business partner Ness Wadia. Reports also claim that the star now aims to leave behind showbusiness to enter a different world altogether.

“Preity will be at Harvard doing a one-week course between January 24–29, 2010, on negotiating and deal making,” an aide, close to the actress, revealed. “Preity has paid a fee of $10,000 to attend the course and will live and eat on the campus with other students.” Read more….
