Actress Vidya Balan, at the success of party of her most recent hit, The Dirty Picture, seemed to enjoy all the attention and praise that was being bestowed upon her.

It was told to her that Kareena Kapoor, her arch-rival, had seen The Dirty Picture and even applauded Vidya’s bold act. However, she was also told that Bebo will have as hard-hitting a role in Heroine as she did in ‘The Dirty Picture’.

What did Vidya have to say that? “It can’t get dirtier than ‘The Dirty Picture’. They could make a ‘Heroine’ but no one will be able to make ‘The Dirty Picture’.” Vidya Balan and Kareena Kapoor had a fall-out ever since Vidya was linked with Shahid Kapoor shortly after Shahid and Bebo’s break-up. Director Madhur Bhandarkar is sure about one thing: his heroine Kareena Kapoor will not disappoint. So, what’s with the reports that the ‘soon-to-get-married’ Kareena will not shoot intimate scenes with any of the co-stars as it a kind of a pact between her and beau Saif Ali Khan? But it’s certainly hogwash as Kareena is giving her cent percent to the film and even cried (no foul cry) while shooting for some emotional scenes.

While talking to a daily, the director of Heroine says, “She won’t ever disappoint her directors. She never asks for alterations in scenes…. So, I don’t know anything about any news story, but I know my heroine is doing a fabulous job.” Read More…

The shooting of the film commenced on Nov 26 at Mumbai’s Film City studio. Gorgeous Kareena Kapoor is playing the lead in the film. Actor Arjun Rampal will be seen playing the love interest of Kareena.The film also features Randeep Hooda, Arunoday Singh and Shahana Goswami.Bhandarkar had earlier signed Aishwariya Rai Bachchan for the role but she backed out of the film due to her pregnancy and the film faced an abrupt halt.The film revolves around the life of a once successful film actress. Bebo’s wardrobe cost for the film is estimated to be Rs 1.3 crores, with around 150 costumes, designed by Manish Malhotra, media reports said. Read More…

Kareena Kapoor had landed a dream role, though it’s not with her anymore, thanks to cousin Ranbir Kapoor. The actress had apparently been cast to play Madhubala in the Kishore Kumar biopic. But now since Ranbir is playing the singer-actor-filmmaker, the two cannot be paired romantically. Now, the producers, UTV, and the director, Anurag Basu have begun to brainstorm over who to cast opposite RK.

According to a source in the production house, UTV had considered Kareena when Shoojit Sircar was expected to direct the movie. The company, that shares a great rapport with Aamir Khan who played the lead in their blockbuster, Rang De Basanti, had initiated talks with Khan on the biopic about two years ago. Read more…

The film in question has been in the making for quite sometime now with the starcast apparently having issues about promoting the film. However, now we hear that Shahid Kapoor has decided to go ahead and promote his film with Kareena Kapoor, Milenge Milenge.

Kareena Kapoor has become the highest taxpayer among all actresses in Bollywood, a source said on Friday.

While what she paid has not been disclosed, it has been said that the 29-year-old coughed up a staggering amount to the income tax department.

“Kareena is a style icon and powerhouse performer. She is distinctive and has a loyal base fan which only seems to be growing. Her increasing body of work as a star and popularity with brands reflects in the taxes she’s paid for 2009-10,” said a source. Read more…
