The three mighty Khans of Bollywood might have recently shared friendly vibes on the premiere of 3 Idiots . All is well on personal terms as Aamir might share a jaadu ki jhappi with Shahrukh and Salman on social events. But when it comes to professional terms, the Khans won’t endorse Gandhigiri .
While the number one position has been dominated by the Khans in Bollywood, every time a Khan film releases the same question arises again – on who is the number one Khan.
The question is more relevant this time since the top three Khans have back to back releases in consecutive months. While Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots has just released and is garnering praises from audiences worldwide, Salman Khan has scheduled his ambitious project Veer , which he has also scripted, for a January 2010 release. Arch rival Shah Rukh Khan will soon follow with his grand film My Name is Khan on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2010.
Again what’s common to all their films is that each is being directed by one of the topmost filmmakers of the country. While Rajkumar Hirani and Karan Johar are amongst the most respected names in the industry, Anil Sharma the director of Veergave Bollywood its biggest hit so far in the form of Gadar .
