Fans still want Rajini to enter politics

A section of Rajinikanth’s fans still wish that their hero enters politics albeit the failure of repeated attempts for years and want to convince him to take the next step.The celebrations for the Superstar’s 60th birthday too emphasised every fan’s dream of their hero to step on to the pedestal of politics. A poster stuck by a fan club highlighted their wish that Rajini has to bid goodbye to cinema and start a party in 2010 assuring that he will win the elections in 2011.

“We still wish he should come to politics. At a time when we are witnessing selfish politicians, Rajini can definitely do good to the people,” said G Raghavendra Dayalan, president, Veeramagan Fan club, Kodambakkam, who celebrated Rajini’s birthday with a 60 feet hoarding of the hero’s various get-up in his films. The talk about superstar making it to the chief minister chair might have started more than a decade ago, but fans still feel that their hero can easily make it in the elections.

“He believes in spirituality and has the heart to help the needy. What more does he need to be eligible to win in elections? There will definitely be at least two people in a house, who will like Rajini. Read more…
