The ongoing HDIL Couture Week has brought the Kapoor family jhagda out in the open. It is a well-kept secret that Boney’s and Sanjay’s wives are not on talking terms. Sridevi and Maheep had a misunderstanding, and stopped speaking to each other sometime last year. They even avoid being together at the same time at family functions. The cold vibes between the sisters-in-law was known only to people close to the Kapoor bahus but by her single act of walking the ramp for Queenie Dhody on the same day (October 12) as Maheep’s show, Sridevi has outed their conflict.
Says a source close to the family, “What’s worse if that both the designer and Sri kept it a secret. Only two days before her show, Maheep learned that Sri was walking for another jewellery designer. She was stumped. Even if you don’t get along with a family member, you put on a polite front for the world. Sri’s act of endorsing a rival jewellery designer, was like making a public statement that even Maheep’s family members don’t think much of her designs, and would rather wear another designer’s baubles.” Read more….
